Latest and greates fMobi is now updated to Nokia Store with version 2.3 (Symbian versions)

- Unified messaging with replying (single recipient)
- More actions to feed (e.q “x is now friend with y”)
- Haptic feedback to buttons
- More languages (Chinese traditional, Greek)
- Exit confirmation as an option
- UI tweaking

        so i had some problems earlier with the messages not loading right but i logged out and logged back in and everything loaded perfectly so i suggest everyone give that a try and also is it possible to be able to reply to pokes in notifications? i know that
        seems like a simple thing but i think it wouldn’t hurt you know. also is it possible to be able to see the friends in common when in someone’s page? as far as i know you can’t. keep up the great work, Love Fmobi.

    There is some bugs when you turn the screen to landscape mode at chat i hope you fix it soon to chat with landscape mode (Nokia N8-00)

    Personally, I don’t like the “Open photo” button and I think that is not user friendly, for my first sense will touch the pictures directly and the application will help you to open, but it cannot. Hope can enhance in the viewing of picture.

    I like the app but I don’t use it as it doesn’t work with GPRS. I’d be happy to see it work when on GPRS connection.

      Just prioritize your connection points and it will work.

    jkosonen, I love fMobi, used it through the Beta, bought it a while back but I can’t download the update via Ovi Store. When I try I get “Unable to complete installation. Download file again. I have tried eveything I know including removing the previous release but no joy. I have even tried buying it again (it is worth paying twice for this app people!) but the Ovi store knows I have bought it and won’t let me do it again.

        But nothing called a QML Store Client sorry.

      Hi, I can confirm that the messaging is not working correctly on the N8. On the messaging homepage the last reply is shown next to the recipient’s profile picture. If you click on this, all that is displayed is a random received message from a day or two ago and nothing else, no message history whatsoever. This seriously needs sorting as it is now unuseable!!

      That’s strange because I bought my version during 1.3 and I have continually updated the app for free.

      Symbian^1 doesn’t automatically offer you a update. You need to uninstall the old version and then you can get the update for free.

      Yes, it is free if you have already bought the application from the Ovi Nokia store. Buy once, and any new updates for fMobi are free.

    i have been experiencing a bug using fmobi just recently started. Let me explain.
    When i first start the app and type something the txt while typing is normal no probs at all. Once i go to make a second comment or post without exiting the app, the txt when im typing stays in capitals and it does not change even if i press the key to go to lower case.

      That’s a Qt bug, and happens in all Qt apps.

      what he means is we need to touch the post to see its message or else its blank, and i have the same problem.. another one is photo upload for s60v5(s^1/5800xm) is blank.. please fix it asap… thanks for the great app~ fmobi 2.3

        I have the same issue.  Tons of posts are now blank and only show author or picture with no description of posts.  Another issue is the news feed is not accurate.  If you compare news feed to Ipad Facebook app, Socially, Gravity or Web Version… Fmobi is missing a ton of news.  What’s the point of using this app if I’m missing out on posts in my news feed?  Why do other symbian ^3 apps display news correctly?  I’m tired of hearing Facebook API excuses.

        It’s really strange how Fmobi is getting worse with each update.

          So you are having this with S^3 phone? and less posts, very strange.

            Yes, the nokia n8 with Anna. Many posts aren’t showing.  I think this may have to do with the way facebook changed the way posts are changed.  It works with other programs though.  You should compare the feeds side by side with socially and you’ll know what I mean.

            Also, the new feature “Now friends with…” just shows blank post until you click it.  Changed profile pics are also not displaying correctly.  It will show one friend’s pic as poster and another friends pic as his post and no text.  When you click on the post it will then say “friend” and 3 other changed their pic. This makes it look like one friend is posting another friends pic.

            The back button is still glitchy.  It needs to go directly back one step regardless of what I’m viewing. If I’m viewing a friends post on feed when I click back it should go back to last point in feed I clicked to view post.

          same here vince . i am waiting for an answer from fmobi on a question i have , i believe it is altering the qt files on your phone to suit this app . and they are not the qt files recomended by nokia , i have had a nightmare getting my n8 back in order . gutted though coz this started out as a great app and then went downhill in my opinion

    Get the number pop up, home button highlighted to say that there are notifications, but on clicking the notifications button, nothing is displayed?  Running on a standard N8 running PR2.0

    why i cant view the profile info and photo of people not in my friend list? fmobi 2.3 just show only a line info “name”, photo show nothing.
    i try to viewing same people in desktop and mobile site, it can show the detail info and photo album include profile picture.
    can fix it at next version.

        Because I bought via Paypal (you remember me from email?) and you got my IMEI and said to me download from free trial…

        Another suggest: make updates in-app like Gravity.

    I just want to say thanks for getting the messenging/chat working in the 2.3.1 update!
    All that is required now is for the messenging notifications to alert via the ‘home’ icon as is the case with other notifications. One bug I have noticed is that a message notification (on the top right corner of the message icon) remains even after reading the message. It only disappears after replying.
    Other than that I’m pretty happy! :-)

    I keep getting error messages when I try comment (but comment does get published…) and same error message when loading messages?? “error with your request please try again later” something like that. N8 with Belle, the app will not even load on my Nokia E6 with Anna, just the loading circle forever?? so the app promises a lot but it disappoints!

    Al abrir la aplicacion y tener una notificacion la cual configure con sonido, si en simultaneo estoy escuchando radio, el sonido en la misma se interrumpe, teniendo que ir a la aplicacion (radio) para que vuelva a escucharse.

    When you open the application and have set a notification sound which, if I’m listening to the radio simultaneously, the sound stops it, having to go to the application (radio) to re-heard.

    hi jkosonen i would really appreciate your help with this matter as i have used your app for a while now and it is awesome when working properly . does your app change the qt files recommended by nokia for the n8 and if so , why ? is it an attempt to suit more handsets rather than do differnet versions for each phone . i would like to know what is contained in the 15.77 mb download i am asked to accept after installation because when i download it , it has a bad effect on other apps i have installed , but when i remove it and reinstall nokias recomended qt files everything works normal again .please respond as i would love to be able to use your app but not if it means messing up other apps

      That’s Nokia Smart installer, that will download missing Qt files, that is needed to use fMobi. I don’t change anything, everything is downloaded from Nokia’s servers.

    hi, cool easy app… but some bugs still!  i can’t see some poeple’s posts at al - i can’t see a lot of text -  and some people can’t see what is posted by ME :( when i open up the pre installed FB app on my nokia n9, everything is ‘normal, and all posts appear.. hope issues are sorted, as i do like this app!  cheers

    old bug is back on 2.3.1, when exiting fmobi does not exit fully and stays using 15MB ram… hope this is fixed in next version.. (symbian^1)

    Nice app but I have two remarks:
    1. Is it possible to add HIDE button? (To run app in background)
    2. Is it possible to do something keyboard bug? (I type with capital letters. It run correctly only in case I switch keyboard modes (regular to landscape mode or vice versa)

      1. Need to be considered, but you can always click the phone’s function key.
      2. That’s a bug in Qt, so nothing much I can do for it. If you use predictive text entry there isn’t such a bug.

    Hey man, great app!
    Is it possible to remove the “unread-marker” from messages, which are already read?
    The only possibility to remove it, is to reply a message (or read with the PC/other apps).

    How is that when I try to read or answer the private messages from and to some of my friend I always get a warning :”error with the request, please try again” and after many times of trying, still there is the same message appear, whereas there is no problem with the messages from other firends. What is going on here?

      Facebook has some problems with some threads, I don’t know why.

        I’ve checked and noticed that other FB apps don’t have that kind of problem, and all the messages which are coming and being answered are working flowlessly.
        Why is that only in FMobi I have so many troubles with getting some of the incoming messages and the trouble with sending the answers  to some of my friends?

    Are you EVER going to fix the back button or  news feed?  I prefer to use Opera Mobile or the Anna browser over Fmobi now.  It was good at first then you realize how much posts are MISSING from the news feed compared to what you see on browsers and other FB apps.  Back button should go EXACTLY ONE STEP BACK FROM LAST VIEWED, going to completely different sections of the app such as events, friends, menu when I’m trying to pop in and out of reading peoples feeds does not make any sense.

        Pics people share etc etc.  It only shows some posts.  My gf can upload a pic from her Galaxy S2 but I can’t see it.  I can see it using Socially or browser though.  It’s starting to get annoying.

        And why are you not addressing the back button issue?  It should simply go back one step instead of jumping to an entirely different section.  This happens after browsing “different” content.   Works fine when you first load Fmobi and browse certain posts.

    nice app, but i OBJECT to spending my hard earned money on something that isn’t functioning properly!  So MANY people are NOT seeing my posts, and vice versa :-(

    if a product was bought from a shop, and it is faulty, you have a right for a refund… some feedback would be nice guys!

      You can set the fMobi post visibility from your Facebooks privacy settings, check there that it isn’t set to only seen to you.

        app setting is set to ‘public’ so all ok there… it’s just a few people on my friends list that don’t see me (via fmobi), via pc and other facebook apps ok!  thanks for your reply ;-)

          Well that’s up to your privacy settings too. You need to give access to 3rd party applications to share your data.
          You can change that from Facebook privacy settings.

    Hei. Minulla on fMobi N8:lle, ennen toimi mainiosti, mutta nykyään herjaa heti avatessa “Error with request, please try again”. fMobi jää kuitenkin päälle, mutta en pääse sillä mihinkään, sama virheilmoitus tulee aina uudestaan näyttöön.

    Sivuillasi oli maininta whitescreen -ongelmasta, mutta en nyt tiedä onko se sama ongelma mitä minulla ilmenee. Kokeilin vaihtaa asetuksista Verkon tyypin kaksitoimisuudesta 3G:hen, mutta sillä ei ollut vaikutusta? Ennen kuin poistan ja asennan fMobin uusiksi, osaatko sanoa mikä voisi jeesata? Kiitoksia etukäteen.

      Kokeileppa laittaa asetuksista niin että se uloskirjaa sut poistuessa. Oot varmaankin saattanut vaihtaa salasanaa tai jotain asetuksia facebookista, ja siten sun tarvii kirjautua uusiks myös fMobiin.

    can u please consider changing upcoming events into envents of the same day and whats coming after…. also when posting on fmobi something the last word written is not posted if there is no space after it …weird…. we also need messages to wrok properly…. when u have a new message and u read it keeps saying i have a new message why doesnt it work like notifications …. messages should be cleared after they are read…. and one last thing…when one of my friends (A) posts something on another friends (B) wall i dont see in my news feeds that (A) posted something but it looks like a status update not that he wrote on (B) ‘s wall …. plus when u deactivate chat in settings … u should be able to reactivate it when u want inside the chat icon… please consider this

      I already filed a buug report to Facebook about this, it’s their problem, unfortunately I can’t do much to it at the moment. But hopefully they will fix it soon. Thanks.

I’d rather use the browser now.  Your feeds are all messed up.  When I get tagged in a photo it doesn’t even show up in Fmobi.  Friend’s pics don’t show all the time either.  It’s like you’re missing 35% or more of the actual facebook feed.  The back button is useless.  Doesn’t go back to last viewed, always jumps to different areas like places or notifications instead of last viewed  feed area.

    It seems that I am having installation problem for my N8, after upgrade to Symbian Anna version.  My N8 version is 025.007 and I keep on seeing the installation error message.

    hey hav jus.got the app on my n9 and cant seem 2 add a location 2 check in2, only use locatoins that hav already been added by people with the iphone. Am i doin sumthin wrong or can i jus not do this? And if it isnt possible yet is it likely 2 b at a later date?

    Hei. Ongelma on sellainen, että fmobi kaatuu aina kun vetää ilmoituspalkin alas tai edes hipaisee näytön yläreunaa. Tämä tapahtuu myös silloin, kun fmobi pyörii taustalla ja vetää ilmoituspalkin alas esim. aloitusnäytöllä.  Samaa ongelmaa olen havainnut tosin muissakin QT sovelluksissa, kuten nokia storessa, joten ongelma mahdollisesti QT:ssa?? Puhelin 701, Belle 111.030.0609. Onko ongelman syytä tiedossa, mahdollisesti tulossa korjausta??

    I’ve never been able to get the Check-In feature to work.  It can never find my GPS location.
    No such problems using Nokia Social or Fascinate.

    i see alot of people complaining about the error message at start up, but you ignore them and offer no solution or way to get our money back. why cant you fix this problem, or offer a way to refund our money? N8. not happy.
